- Weapons and tools can no longer be repaired.
- The steel cost for Vostaskus is reduced by ⅔.
- The flux cost for steel is reduced to 10 per ingot.
- Workshops (smithy, kitchen, carpentry, apothecary) only become available later, and then only in limited numbers.
- Certain items can only be made at workshops, for example metal armour at the smithy, reinforced staves at the carpentry and 4- and 5-star meals at the kitchen.
Global quest series
Section titled “Global quest series”The quest series is announced on Discord and played by the merchant when needed. It motivates all players at once to pursue a certain goal in order to unlock certain progress, for example workshop tokens.
NPC quests
Section titled “NPC quests”- Craft master (harbour): skill points
- Harbour master (harbour): quest for the starter pack
- and much more
Skill cap and day length
Section titled “Skill cap and day length”According to the community surveys:
- Skill cap for crafting: 800 points
- In-game day length: 5 real-life hours
Claims
Section titled “Claims”- Monuments must be fed with coins.
- Registered absence freezes the upkeep points.
- Claim levels have requirements and partly changed sizes. Defences and the number of allowed workshops depend on the claim level:
| Level | Radius (tiles) | Requirement | Defences | Workshops |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 20 | 1 player | Palisade | 0 |
| 2 | 30 | 2 players | Palisade with walkway | 1 |
| 3 | 40 | 3 players | Palisade with walkway | 1 |
| 4 | 55 | 4 players | Stone walls | 2 |
| 5 | 75 | 6 players + territory capital | Castle walls | 3 |
So that smaller claims have more room for design, the radius of the first four levels was increased by 5 tiles each.
Workshops
Section titled “Workshops”Workshops are the smithy, kitchen, carpentry and apothecary.
- Workshop tokens are the items needed to build workshops. A limited number can be bought via the homepage, and more tokens are available from the merchant in roleplay.
- Consequently, not every claim will be able to build every workshop.
- For solo players: once the workshops have been unlocked through the global quest, workshops will open in the harbour town shortly afterwards. Solo players who do not belong to a territory can use them for a fee at an NPC. The right of use is time-limited but can be bought again and again.
Territory
Section titled “Territory”Anyone can found a territory on the island if the following is met:
- It includes at least 3 claims.
- The territory capital is at least claim level 3.
- It has at least 6 inhabitants spread across all claims.
Benefits:
- The territory capital may build one additional workshop.
- The territory capital gets its coat of arms in game as a hanging shield.
KoS at night
Section titled “KoS at night”In addition to the PvP zone (where KoS applies day and night), there is KoS at night on the server, with these restrictions:
- KoS applies only in the time window of complete darkness. The exact in-game times will be announced at server start.
- KoS is only allowed outside claim areas. It does not matter whether it is your own claim or someone else’s.
- If someone escapes into their claim during the night, KoS is over for that situation. A KoS PvP action begun earlier must not be continued.
- Anyone carrying a torch and standing on a road must not be attacked under KoS.
